Q&A with Bonnie Greer

Bonnie Greer, OBE, tool part to a post-show Q&A after one of Pygmalion’s performances.

Bonnie Greer is a British-American playwright, novelist, broadcaster and vice-president of the Bernard Shaw Society. As well as appearing regularly as a panellist on television programmes such as Newsnight Review and Question Time, she has also served on the boards of several leading arts organisations, including the British Museum, the Royal Opera House and the London Film School.

Talking to director Emilia Teglia, Mrs Greer shared her expertise on the work of Shaw. The two also spoke about what it means to be immigrant theatre makers in Britain today.

This Q&A will also feed in the research and development of Odd Eyes Theatre’ project White Other, leading to the creation of a new play inspired by Pygmalion and set in today’s Britain.
