How To Use Forum Theatre To Know Yourself and Change The World…Plus More Pronunciation Classes To Get Your Voice Heard In London And An Invite.

Forum_Theatre_newsletterd3a471afc51cTheatre practitioner Augusto Boal called Forum Theatre  a “rehearsal for the revolution”. At the centre of this problem-solving form of theatre is the notion that the personal is political. Anxieties, identity and relationship issues to name few of our problems are not just down to our personal circumstances but are connected to the social system in which we live.

Adopting the techniques developed by  Boal,  participants to this 10-day programme will use theatre to explore individual inner challenges and develop a play centred around issues shared by the whole group.

The play will then perform twice in front of an audience: the first time as a traditional piece of theatre; the second time,  audience members will have the opportunity to come on stage and change the original course of events to bring it to an happier ending.

Through a journey of self-exploration and theatrical debate you will learn to use theatre as the platform to look at yourself in connection to the cultural and social context in which we live.
