ARTS ADMINISTRATION INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Odd Eyes Theatre is offering a motivated and self-reliant individual an internship in Arts Administration with our small and busy arts charity. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across all areas of arts and charity management, supported by one-to-one mentoring throughout.

About the internship

This role is designed as a learning opportunity and will provide insight into the day-to-day running of a small arts organisation. The internship holder will work closely with the charity’s team and be supported through structured tasks and regular mentoring sessions.

What You Will Learn

You will gain practical experience across a broad range of activities, including:

  • Production – supporting the planning and delivery of artistic projects and events including contracts and recruitment based on current industry regulations
  • Day-to-day administration – office systems, scheduling, and organisational support
  • Promotion and outreach – marketing, audience development, and community engagement
  • Finance – basic budgeting, monitoring expenditure, and understanding funding processes and charity fundraising
  • Governance – insight into charity governance, board structures, policies and compliance

What we’re looking for

This internship is particularly suited to students, recent graduates, or those seeking experience in arts administration and production.

You will need to have: 

  • A strong interested in socially relevant Film and Theatre
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • An interest in the arts and/or the charity sector
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Reliability and attention to detail

Practical Details

  • Duration: until end of July 2026
  • Probation period: 2 months
  • Hours: 16 hours weekly comprising one fixed working day and one independently scheduled day to complete agreed tasks.
  • Location: London – hybrid daytime work with occasional evenings and weekends attendance to rehearsals, events and Board meetings
  • Expenses: Travel expenses reimbursed for in-person meetings.
